Tether

One unbroken pull-back. It opens inside the helmet, on the astronaut’s face and his breath on the glass; a gloved hand comes up, the visor floods red, and the camera keeps backing away as he drifts, arms open, until the gold line running up from his pack meets the station and its solar arrays. Every frame is generated footage.

Signal Delay

A documentary told as five months of mission logs: on November 14, 2023, Voyager 1 started repeating one pattern of ones and zeros, and every question cost forty-five hours of light-time. One narrator walks through the readout, the dead chip and the code moved by hand in 1970s assembly. Photographic stills with a slow push-in, hand-drawn amber diagrams, terminal windows, dates on black, two clocks in the corner, 35 mm grain, 2.39:1, a quiet music bed and subtitles, all of it asked for by this film’s own treatment.

A vertical animated Short made from one sentence by a connected assistant on its own: a painted red octopus in every frame, four chapters with their pills, a big fitted title with one word in yellow, and karaoke captions that light up as the English narrator says them. Tell your assistant the subject, the length, the format and the look, realistic or animation.
