What Kleo knows
about you.

The short version. You do not give Kleo an email or a password, so it does not have one. Your account is a signed cookie in your browser.
Kleo keeps what it needs to make your videos and to count your credits: what you asked for, the storyboard it wrote, and the files it made. The finished files are deleted after 7 days.
This website has no trackers, no analytics and no advertising, and it sets no cookies at all.
Your account is a cookie
When you press Start free, Kleo creates an account with no name and no address, and remembers it with
a cookie called kleo_id on the Kleo server’s own domain. The cookie holds an account number and
a signature, nothing else. It lasts about 400 days.
Because the account lives in that browser, clearing your cookies loses it — and with it the credits left on it — unless you saved your Kleo key first. Your assistant can show you the key at any time.
The address Kleo stores for an anonymous account is not yours: it is an internal placeholder ending in
@anon.kleo.invalid, because the account table has always required one. Kleo cannot write to it,
and it does not identify you.

Your address on the internet
Kleo never stores your IP address. To stop one person from taking every starter account of the day, it stores a one-way fingerprint of it — a number computed from the address with a secret, which cannot be turned back into the address. It is used for one thing only: counting how many new accounts came from the same place today.
Who else sees it
Kleo is one person’s project, and it stands on a handful of services. To make your video, these are the ones your request passes through:
- Cloudflare — runs the Kleo server, its database and the storage where your finished files sit for those 7 days. Some storyboards are also written by Cloudflare’s own AI.
- Vast.ai — the marketplace Kleo rents a GPU machine from, for the minutes your video takes. The machine receives the storyboard and gives back the video, and is destroyed when the job is done.
- kie.ai — generates the moving footage of a film’s shots from Kleo’s frames and prompts. An animatic orders no clip, so nothing of it reaches kie.ai.
- GitHub — hosts this website.
- Stripe — processes credit-pack payments through its checkout. Your card data never reaches Kleo.
- The assistant you connected — Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and the others. Whatever you type, you type there first, and their own privacy policy covers it. Kleo has no view of your conversation beyond the request your assistant sends it.
These machines are not all in one country. A rented GPU can be anywhere its owner keeps it, so a video may be rendered anywhere in the world.
What Kleo never does
- No advertising, and nothing is sold to anybody.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels and no cookies on this website. Nothing follows you from page to page.
- Your prompts and your videos are never used to train Kleo or anything else. The footage provider, kie.ai, processes a film’s shot prompts and frames under its own terms; an animatic sends it nothing.
- Kleo sends no email. It has no address to send one to, and no newsletter exists.
Getting your data, or getting rid of it
Write to kleooai@gmail.com with your account number (never send your private Kleo key) — your assistant can show you the number — and say what you want: a copy of what is stored, a correction, or the whole account deleted. Deleting is final: the credits go with it.
Kleo is run by one person. If something here does not sit right with you, write first; you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of the country you live in.
When this page changes
The date at the top is the last time it did. Kleo is in open beta and the way it works still moves; when what it stores changes, this page changes with it, and it will keep saying plainly what happens rather than hiding it in a longer document.
