Create videos with
Claude and Kleo.
Claude is where you direct the film. Kleo, added to Claude as a custom connector, generates the footage, the narration and the finished 4K MP4, and the link lands in the same chat. The connector is one way to use Kleo; the other is the Kleo app in your browser, with the same account and credits.
Add Kleo to Claude.
Kleo’s connector is a remote MCP server that Claude reaches through a custom connector. Add it from Claude’s connector settings and complete Kleo’s sign-in. Custom connector access and limits depend on your account and workspace; check the options available to you before starting.
- Open Settings → Connectors in Claude and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Kleo, paste the address below and confirm.
- Kleo’s page opens: click Start free. You are back in Claude, with 5 credits on your new Kleo account. No form, no password, no card: enough for an animatic of up to 20 seconds. A film is made only for accounts that have bought a pack and costs 10 credits minimum, so the €5 pack (10 credits, a 15-second film) goes on before the first film; a 30-second film is 20. A launch code (“redeem PRODUCTHUNT”) opens one free 15-second film before any pack.
- In a new chat, turn Kleo on from the tools menu and ask for the film.

Pick what to make first.
Say the subject, the length, the format and the look in one message. Audience, tone and anything that must appear in the film are optional. Whatever your request leaves out, Claude asks for before it plans anything; it never picks a length, a format or a look for you.
Choose the product before rendering. Try a free animatic: drawn frames, camera movement and narration, 5 credits up to 20 seconds (10 up to 60). Create a film: generated moving footage, 15 seconds to 5 minutes, with a purchased pack (or a launch code for one 15-second film) and a quote you approve.

What happens next in the chat.
Kleo’s tools run in a fixed order and Claude drives them for you. You read, correct and approve at each step; nothing is charged until you give the go-ahead and the job is accepted.
The treatment
Claude reads your request against Kleo’s intake. Subject, length, format, look, film or animatic, the AI upscale (film only), music, subtitles and the narration language are asked; audience, tone, what must appear and your own photos are optional. Whatever is missing, it asks in one message. Then it shows you the treatment: logline, angle, opening image, acts, ending, look, pacing and narrator. Change anything before going on.
The storyboard
Claude fetches Kleo’s guide to the storyboard (a direction block, the scenes, the shots and their limits) and writes the storyboard under the treatment you approved. This is where the film is made; read it and ask for changes.
The render
Kleo checks everything and answers with the exact credits for the film. With your OK, Claude starts the render on a GPU rented for that one job. Nothing is charged before the job is accepted, and a refused call costs nothing.
The link
Claude waits for the render, reporting progress, until Kleo hands over the link to the finished MP4, typically 25–35 minutes later. The link is good for 7 days. Kleo never publishes the film anywhere: you download it and post it where you like.

Type the film, review it and get it back, in the same conversation.
What you get.
- OutputAn MP4 in 4K (3840×2160 or 2160×3840) at 60 fps: 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for a Short. For a film, an optional AI upscale (Real-ESRGAN + RIFE) for its credits again, at least 5.
- LengthA film 15 seconds to 5 minutes; an animatic 15 to 60 seconds.
- LooksRealistic (generated live-action footage, cinematic) or animation (a 2D animated film). Nano Banana Pro draws every frame; in a film Seedance 2.5 turns each one into moving footage.
- ProductsThe film, or an animatic of the same storyboard: the drawn frames under a moving camera, the same narrator and graphic layer, no generated clip. Every account can order animatics; a film is made only for accounts that have bought a pack.
- NarrationOne narrator, in English (the default) or Italian; a music track and burned-in subtitles when you ask for them in the intake. The current Terms specify a small Kleo mark on the video.
- CreditsA film: 1 credit = 1.5 seconds, rounded up, 10 credits minimum: 15 s = 10, 30 s = 20, 60 s = 40, 5 min = 200. An animatic: 5 credits up to 20 seconds, 10 up to 60. You start with 5 credits; packs are €5 = 10, €15 = 35, €40 = 100, paid once; monthly plans are in the Kleo app.
- TimeA render typically takes 25–35 minutes on a rented GPU; Kleo tells you the estimate in the chat.

If something does not work.
Kleo does not appear in Claude.
Check the address you pasted: it is exactly https://mcp.kleooai.com/mcp, with https and nothing after /mcp. Add the connector again with the name Kleo. Once it is added, it is still off in a chat until you turn it on: open a new chat and switch Kleo on from the tools menu. Your account and workspace decide access to custom connectors and their limits.
Kleo’s page never opened, or the window was blocked.
When you confirm the connector, Claude opens Kleo’s page for the sign-in: one Start free button, nothing to fill in. If your browser blocked it as a pop-up, allow pop-ups for Claude and confirm the connector again; the page opens, you click Start free and you are back in Claude.
Not enough credits.
A €5 pack adds 10 purchased credits and unlocks film rendering: exactly one 15-second film. A 20-second film costs 14 credits and a 30-second film 20. Your 5 starter credits buy one animatic of up to 20 seconds. A launch code opens one free 15-second film before any pack. Ask your assistant to confirm the credits for your chosen product and the exact quote before you buy or render. Ask Claude for your account page to review the balance and checkout links. A refused request spends no credits.
The wait timed out before the film was ready.
A long render can outlast a single tool call, but the job keeps going on its GPU. Ask Claude for the job’s status (kleo_get_job) or to wait again (kleo_wait_for_video), then for the links (kleo_get_result). Do not ask for a second film to check on the first.
You want to stop a render.
Ask Claude to cancel the job (kleo_cancel_job). The render stops and the unspent credits go back to your balance.
