Create videos with
Claude and Kleo.
Claude is where you direct the film. Kleo, added to Claude as a custom connector, generates the footage, the narration and the finished 4K MP4, and the link lands in the same chat.
Add Kleo to Claude.
Kleo is a remote MCP server. There is no app to install and no sign-up form: Claude reaches it through a custom connector, and connecting is one button on Kleo’s own page. The steps below are the same in the Claude app and on the web, and they work on every Claude plan; the free plan allows one custom connector.
- Open Settings → Connectors in Claude and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Kleo, paste the address below and confirm.
- Kleo’s page opens: click Start free. You are back in Claude, with 7 credits on your new Kleo account. No form, no password, no card: enough for a 5-credit animatic. A film is made only for accounts that have bought a pack and costs 10 credits minimum, so the €5 pack (10 credits) goes on before the first film; a 30-second film is 15.
- In a new chat, turn Kleo on from the tools menu and ask for the film.
https://mcp.kleooai.com/mcp Claude is Anthropic’s assistant. Kleo is a separate service that Claude reaches through a custom connector; the same address works in ChatGPT, Grok, Claude Code, Cursor and any other MCP client — see the connection page.
Ask for the film you want.
Say the subject, the length, the format and the look in one message. Audience, tone and anything that must appear in the film are optional. Whatever your request leaves out, Claude asks for before it plans anything; it never picks a length, a format or a look for you.

What happens next in the chat.
Kleo’s tools run in a fixed order and Claude drives them for you. You read, correct and approve at each step; nothing is charged until you give the go-ahead and the job is accepted.
The treatment
Claude reads your request against Kleo’s intake. Subject, length, format and look are required; audience, tone and what must appear are optional. Whatever is missing, it asks in one message. Then it shows you the treatment: logline, angle, opening image, acts, ending, look, pacing and narrator. Change anything before going on.
The storyboard
Claude fetches Kleo’s guide to the storyboard (a direction block, the scenes, the shots and their limits) and writes the storyboard under the treatment you approved. This is where the film is made; read it and ask for changes.
The render
Kleo checks everything and answers with the exact credits for the film. With your OK, Claude starts the render on a GPU rented for that one job. Nothing is charged before the job is accepted, and a refused call costs nothing.
The link
Claude waits for the render, reporting progress, until Kleo hands over the link to the finished MP4, typically 25–35 minutes later. The link is good for 7 days. Kleo never publishes the film anywhere: you download it and post it where you like.
What you get.

- ProductsThe film, or an animatic of the same storyboard: the drawn frames under a moving camera, the same narrator and graphic layer, no generated clip. Every account can order animatics; a film is made only for accounts that have bought a pack.
- NarrationOne narrator, English or Italian. No background music, no captions, no on-screen text.
- CreditsA film: 1 credit = 2 seconds, rounded up, 10 credits minimum: 15 s = 10, 30 s = 15, 60 s = 30, 5 min = 150. An animatic: 5 credits flat. You start with 7 credits; packs are €5 = 10, €15 = 35, €40 = 100, paid once, no subscription.

If something does not work.
Kleo does not appear in Claude.
Check the address you pasted: it is exactly https://mcp.kleooai.com/mcp, with https and nothing after /mcp. Add the connector again with the name Kleo. Once it is added, it is still off in a chat until you turn it on: open a new chat and switch Kleo on from the tools menu. On the free plan one custom connector is allowed, so Kleo has to be that one.
Kleo’s page never opened, or the window was blocked.
When you confirm the connector, Claude opens Kleo’s page for the sign-in: one Start free button, nothing to fill in. If your browser blocked it as a pop-up, allow pop-ups for Claude and confirm the connector again; the page opens, you click Start free and you are back in Claude.
Not enough credits.
Connecting gives you 7 credits: they buy an animatic (5), never a film. A film is made only for accounts that have bought a pack, and a 30-second film is 15 credits: with the €5 pack (10 credits) you have 17 and the render can start. Ask Claude for your Kleo account page (kleo_account): it shows the balance and the checkout links (€5 = 10 credits, €15 = 35, €40 = 100; a one-off payment in EUR, no subscription). The refused call charged nothing.
The wait timed out before the film was ready.
A long render can outlast a single tool call, but the job keeps going on its GPU. Ask Claude for the job’s status (kleo_get_job) or to wait again (kleo_wait_for_video), then for the links (kleo_get_result). Do not ask for a second film to check on the first.
You want to stop a render.
Ask Claude to cancel the job (kleo_cancel_job). The render stops and the unspent credits go back to your balance.
