A practical method
- Write the audience, subject and intended ending.
- Ask for a treatment without starting a render.
- Approve a quote only when you are ready for production.
An example brief to adapt
Help me plan a 45-second fictional animation, without calling a rendering tool. Give me an opening, three scene beats and an ending. Flag unclear requirements and let me revise the treatment. We will discuss the actual product and quote separately before any production request.
Review before moving on
- Is the assistant restricted to planning?
- Are unresolved details visible?
- Is a render explicitly authorized only later?
Record a concrete observation beside each check: a line in the treatment, a source passage or a timestamp in the downloaded film. If you cannot inspect an item yet, leave it open. A request in a brief is an intention; the result is what must be reviewed.

What to avoid
Free planning is not a promise that every assistant account is free or that external tools never charge. Keep assistant access, Kleo credits and optional editing costs separate.
