A practical method
- Watch the final export at a realistic phone size.
- Check the first scene and closing action without pausing.
- Preview platform overlays around important visual information.
An example brief to adapt
Make a mobile-review checklist for a 9:16 fictional book-exchange film. Focus on the recognizable book, the narrator's invitation and any captions added later. Do not use desktop readability as the final acceptance criterion.
Review before moving on
- Can the subject be identified quickly?
- Is text readable without zooming?
- Do interface overlays hide essential details?
Record a concrete observation beside each check: a line in the treatment, a source passage or a timestamp in the downloaded film. If you cannot inspect an item yet, leave it open. A request in a brief is an intention; the result is what must be reviewed.

What to avoid
A vertical aspect ratio alone does not make a video mobile-friendly. Scene complexity, contrast and the position of added text still need review on the intended platform.
