Set a narration tone without exaggerated claims

A narration tone is easier to direct with examples of sentence style and emotional intensity. Words such as premium or epic are too broad to resolve whether the narrator should sound intimate, explanatory or urgent.

Planning sequence: Meaning, then Script, then Delivery, then Listening.

A practical method

  1. Describe the relationship between narrator and viewer.
  2. Provide a short original sample sentence.
  3. List claims or emotional pressure the script should avoid.

An example brief to adapt

Written illustration of this method; not a report of a rendered film or a customer result.

Use a calm, curious English narrator for a fictional film about a nighttime observatory. Write as if explaining a discovery to one interested friend. Avoid grand claims, superlatives and invented scientific facts. Let the images create scale while the voice remains measured.

Review before moving on

  • Does the wording match the chosen relationship?
  • Are claims supported?
  • Is intensity consistent with the subject?

Record a concrete observation beside each check: a line in the treatment, a source passage or a timestamp in the downloaded film. If you cannot inspect an item yet, leave it open. A request in a brief is an intention; the result is what must be reviewed.

What to avoid

Adding dramatic adjectives to every sentence usually changes the script more than the performance. Start with clear language and evaluate the actual delivery.
