Give revision notes an AI assistant can use

Effective revision notes identify a specific moment, explain the problem and describe the desired change. A request to make everything more cinematic gives no clear basis for deciding whether the next version is better.

Planning sequence: Audience, then Question, then Treatment, then Approval.

A practical method

  1. Quote the treatment line or scene number that needs work.
  2. Explain the viewer's confusion rather than only naming a disliked style.
  3. Prioritize story corrections before optional visual polish.

An example brief to adapt

Written illustration of this method; not a report of a rendered film or a customer result.

Revise scene three of the treatment: the viewer cannot tell why the courier turns back. Add a visible reason, such as the unclaimed parcel, and remove the unrelated street montage. Keep the existing opening and ending. Show the new treatment only; do not rerender yet.

Review before moving on

  • Is every note tied to a scene?
  • Is the desired change testable?
  • Does the revision preserve already approved material?

Record a concrete observation beside each check: a line in the treatment, a source passage or a timestamp in the downloaded film. If you cannot inspect an item yet, leave it open. A request in a brief is an intention; the result is what must be reviewed.

What to avoid

Do not assume an existing render can be edited in place or that another attempt is free. Check the available workflow and cost before commissioning a new version.
